Exploring La Gran Senda de Malaga: Olive Trees, Tibetan Bridges, and the Magic of Andalusia
Start: 12:00
Finish: 15:00
Distance: 7km
Elevation Gain: 220m
Route Type: Out and Back
Weather: Warm, around 20 degrees, clear and dry
Let's start slowly from Rincon de la Victoria, and in less than an hour, we're at the starting point. After a bit of creativity to find parking and a five-minute walk, we're at the beginning of the trail, just above a collection of winding streets that climb up to the colonial houses of the village 'Canilla de Aceitunos'.
The first part of the trail offers effortless views without much elevation gain; we arrive at the Tibetan bridge and pass by crowds of people due to the popularity of the route and the beautiful (and warm) Saturday weather.
On the way back, after the classic packed lunch, a few treats await us to finish off in style: cake and beer :)
